Take care of yourself first - Find your Self Care indulgence!
A good place to start is to simply think about what makes you smile. Feeling good is exactly how it sounds... it is a feeling. This will be different for everyone.
It can be:
...there are endless options. This self care indulgence can also be different depending on the day and it is important to pay attention to what feels good in the moment.
To reach for the best feeling thought in any moment, practice asking yourself "what do I want to do?" It's about practicing a true knowing of what you want and what feels good in any moment. It is a practice of getting back to YOU and eliminating, for that moment, all the thoughts of "I should do.." or "I need to do.."
This practice is about purely focusing on you and what makes YOU feel good.
Find something daily that feels like an indulgence and make a commitment to include this as part of your daily routine. You deserve so much, you do so much, and you deserve to indulge daily in something that simply feels good!
For me, my "go to" indulgence is a hot bath, including epsom salts, candles and lavender oil. It is the one place that I can close my door and feel completely at ease... almost like I have gone on vacation! Another one for me is cooking; But cooking from an inspired place, not from an obligation. Sometimes I get a craving for an incredible meal idea, and when it comes from a place of creating, the process of cooking and eating the meal is so enjoyable. Truly an indulgence! One other indulgence that I learned about recently, for me, is something that makes me smile no matter what is happening in my life. I recently discovered that any time I encounter an animal in nature, it makes me smile. a true smile. I can be walking along to see deer or bunny rabbits, or driving along and spotting a family of foxes and it brings me a true feeling of joy.
Finding your indulgence can be something simple, yet so powerful!
